Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (IATA code: CGK) is the biggest airport in Indonesia that serves as the primary gateway for international departure and arrival. The airport operates three terminals, namely Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3.

Soekarno Hatta International Airport Terminal 3 main building is a massive 4-level structure occupying a vast area of more than 300 thousand square meters. The departure level for both domestic and international flights is on the third floor while the arrival level is on the first floor. There are 206 check-in counters installed in the departure hall to serve passengers flying to domestic and international destinations. The check-in counters are spread across six sections / islands, namely island A to island F.

Check-in counters for international flights departing from Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 3 are located at island A to island D on the departure level (third floor). Airline assignment for each island is explained as follows.
Island A: check-in counters for Cathay Pacific, Ethiopian Airlines, Eva Air, Garuda Indonesia (international), Korean Air, and Qatar Airways.
Island B: check-in counters for All Nippon Airways (ANA), Asiana Airines, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Egypt Air, Etihad, Qantas, Saudia, Srilankan Airilnes, Thai Airways, Uzbekistan Airways, and Vietnam Airlines.
